The Design is a wonderful and delightful read!!

You will enjoy reading it no matter the hour or place.

You will laugh a lot.

In general, any book from R.S. Grey is enjoyable and pleasant. You will not be dissatisfied with your purchase. Never.

If The Design were a brand new book with brand new characters that did not have any sort of prequel, I would say that it was great! The characters were unusual and their story was very different from any other you have ever read.

You don’t always meet such a combination of both different and special characters and storyline.

However, this isn’t exactly the case.

The Design is after The Duet. And the Duet was absolutely AMAZING!! It was more than 5 Stars. It was funny and sexy and intriguing and incredible! I loved every second of it!! It is one of my all-time favorites!

It is hard to meet such standards again in one series. And unfortunately, the Design fell through. It wasn’t in the same scale as The Duet. Not even close.

So, as a fan of The Duet, I felt little disappointed, because I was kind of expecting a somewhat similar novel. The Design did not meet my expectations and I am very sorry for that.

But, if you haven’t read The Duet (which I strongly suggest you do!!), then The Design will seem quite wonderful and exciting and interesting!

So, The Design receives 4 Gorgeous Stars!

I paused just outside of the front doors and took a deep breath, trying to get my bearings. I was twenty minutes early for my interview. My outfit was still wrinkle-free. My pad-folio was filled with extra copies of my resume and reference letters, and I’d rehearsed every possible question that Grayson Cole would ask:
Greatest weakness? My inability to settle for anything less than what I deserve. I’m stubborn and persistent.
The honest answer? My inability to overcome my schoolgirl crush on you even though you’re a self-righteous ass.
I would NOT be giving him the honest answer.

I am a lover of books, chocolate, reality TV, black labs, and cold weather. Seriously, if I had it my way, I would be curled up on the couch with all of those things... everyday.
I live in Texas where I spend my free time writing and reading. My favorite authors include Mindy Kaling & Jonathan Safran Foer. I'm a comedy geek and love all things "funny". Women like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling are definitely the biggest inspirations for my writing, though I think my work tends to skew a bit smuttier than theirs.
